Persimmon submits plans for 62 North Yorkshire homes

Persimmon has submitted plans for a 62-home development in Kellington, North Yorkshire.

Of these homes, 10% will be earmarked for a local affordable housing provider or sold at a discount.

The development includes plans for a centrally located children’s play area; tree and hedge planting as well as two new interlinked footpaths through the site.

Views towards the Grade I listed Church of St Edmund will be retained as part of the housebuilder’s plans.

“We are delighted to bring forward these plans for new homes in Kellington,” said Graham Whiteford, planning director at Persimmon Yorkshire.

“New housing is needed and, in these plans, we are hoping to provide affordable, energy efficient homes for first-time buyers and families alike.”
